It has become abundantly clear that technology, whilst indeed marvellous, needs to be balanced with some more analogue activities. The enjoyment of flicking a magazine page, or (heaven forbid) folding down a book corner is the ultimate in luxury, and to be encouraged.

 

Read at the hair salon, whilst on the train, or taking an aperitif solo (how civilised we say).

 

Finally, pass the magazine or book onto another when complete as a courteous community member (those who turn overtly glossy pages with freshly licked fingers need not apply).
